LUMA was born from a very simple idea: making a stay in Punta del Este much more than just a place to sleep.

The name LUMA comes from Luna and Mar, the moon and the sea, two things that say a lot about what we want to share: nature, calm, connection and the essence of a place as special as Punta del Este.

The project started with a single apartment and, from that first experience, we found a niche with huge potential. Today we manage more than 10 properties and we keep growing, aiming to build a different and ever more complete way to stay.

I've always been interested in tourism, and especially in how Punta del Este is growing. But I also felt that behind every booking there was something much more important: the holidays of a person, a couple, a family or a group of friends. Moments that stay in your memory and deserve care in every detail.

That's why at LUMA we don't just offer an empty space to sleep in. We take care of the whole experience, from choosing and preparing each property to the small details that make a stay feel special. We want to connect our guests with their senses, with nature and with the sea.

Punta del Este also means something personal to me. My grandmother has spent her summers there since she was a girl, and for years she told me stories about that seaside town that felt extraordinary to her. When I finally got to experience it up close, I understood why. I fell in love with Punta del Este just as she had decades before.

I could also see how much it had changed. Today Punta del Este has huge momentum and is going through a period of growth and transformation that makes it one of the destinations with the most potential in the region.

LUMA comes from that mix: a personal passion for Punta del Este, an interest in tourism and the chance to build a new way of enjoying short stays.
